Our Family Background :
Our family has been aligned to Nathdwara Pichhwai Art since ancient times.  Ancestors of our family had descended to Nathdwara with the arising of Shrinathji at Nathdwara.  Since then, family ancestors have been working in Miniature painting and Pichhwai making still today they are doing this.

In its reference our father Mr. Shyam Lal ji Sharma, has worked on Pichhwai making and many other art works. Presides, he was scholar of photographic art. He had worked paintings at Ahmednagar,(Maharashtra)  in Pustimargiya temples. He had coroneted ‘Mukhiya’ of  the painters society and monitored wall-paintings (Chitrams) done by society members at the occasion of Deepawali in Shrinathji temple.

Father of Shyam Lal ji, Shri Champa Lal ji was a renowned artist of his time. He learnt art of painting from his uncle Mr. Vithal das ji.  He had spent much of  his life span in Mumbai. There he created many pichhwai’s and paintings at Mota-mandir (Shri Balkrishna, temple). These art-galleries are still preserved.

Champa Lal ji was a genius for miniature painting. His pichhwai’s are laid before prabhu Navneet Priya ji Mandir on sacred occasions, till date. His handmade sketch are a source of astonishment for  present day audience and these sketches have been kept as such with us.
